Dua Lipa announced on Monday the “Future Nostalgia Tour,” her first North American trek in support of her acclaimed 2020 album of the same name.

The pop star’s 28-date arena release begins at FTX Arena in Miami on February 9 and ends at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on April 1. Garden (March 1), United Center in Chicago (March 9), Denver’s Ball Arena (March 15) and Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle (March 31).

Megan Thee Stallion will take over dates in Denver, Tulsa (March 17) and Phoenix (March 20). Caroline Polachek will support all tour dates, and Lolo Zouaï will support dates other than Denver, Tulsa and Phoenix. The tour will be produced by Ceremony London, promoted by Live Nation and sponsored by Truly Hard Seltzer.

“I am so excited to be touring again and to see my angels in person! It’s amazing that we can all dance and celebrate together once again, ”Lipa said in a statement. “When I was writing Nostalgia for the future, I imagined the songs played in the clubs at night with your friends. I am so excited that this fantasy is finally coming true. I can’t wait to discover these songs with you live!

Lipa released Nostalgia for the future, his second studio album on March 27, 2020; before the pandemic, she had announced a European tour in support of the record for late spring. Nostalgia for the future spawned two # 2 hits on Billboard‘s Hot 100, “Don’t Start Now” and “Levitating”, as well as “Break My Heart”, which peaked at # 13 in the charts. In March, the RIAA certified the album platinum.

Lipa, who won the Grammy for Best New Artist in 2019, took home the award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2021 and was nominated for Record, Album and Song of the Year.

The pop star will finally begin his planned European tour in the arenas after his North American tour in 2022, which will also include a headliner at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona.

Given her explosion in popularity during the pandemic, Lipa will be playing much larger venues on this North American tour than she did the last time she performed on the continent. According to Poll star Given that, the most tickets Lipa has ever sold for a North American show was at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on June 30, 2018, where she moved 8,504 tickets for a gross amount of $ 355,908. Two days later, she sold 6,954 tickets to the WaMu Theater in Seattle for a gross amount of $ 196,370.
