FC Barcelona have reportedly already started the process of finding a new manager, with current boss Ronald Koeman facing an ax following a series of disappointing results.
The Dutch tactician has been criticized for his side’s poor form which saw him lose his first two 2021/22 UEFA Champions League games, to Bayern Munich and Benfica, by 3-0.

Along with some more unpleasant results in the Blaugrana’s LaLiga campaign, Koeman’s situation in the club’s hot seat has sparked strong reports of his potential sacking, and there are even rumors that candidates for the post have already been approached.
“Barcelona are looking for a new manager and the current plan is to change – it could take a few days,” Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote on Twitter.
“[The] the process started with the entire board of directors. [They are] speak with many different candidates to replace Ronald Koeman. “
In addition, reports in Spain suggest that a few tacticians have already been aligned, with Radio of Catalonia reporting that former Barca star Xavi Hernandez and Belgian coach Roberto Martinez are being considered for the role, while former Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo is also “beloved” by club president Joan Laporta.
According to RAC1, another planned manager is Marcelo Gallardo, who currently runs Argentinian giant River Plate.

Former Blaugrana striker Luis Suarez, meanwhile, weighed in on the situation at Camp Nou, commenting on the possibility of Xavi returning to the club as manager.
“As a football fan and what he [Xavi] did as a player, I don’t think today, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow is the time to coach the team, “Suarez said in an interview with sport.
“He’s smart and knows how difficult the club is. He has to wait for the moment.
“He has teammates inside that he will have to make decisions with and it will be difficult.”
