Four Mossos officers detained in Barcelona have been released at the judge’s disposal

As indicated in a press release from the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC), the president of Rubi’s investigating court n ° 1 in Barcelona has decreed the provisional release of four Mossos d’Esquadra agents.

The four men were arrested this Thursday, October 14 and appeared in court on Friday, 15, charged with alleged crimes of corruption, theft with force, divulging secrets and having done justice themselves.

The four people should be available to the court in case of need. One of them – a Mosso on authorized leave, who now works in a security company – was released on bail of € 85,000, together with the precautionary measure prohibiting leaving the territory.

Three of the detainees made use of their right not to testify, and the fourth – for whom bail was issued – only answered questions from his lawyer.

Both sides gave conflicting stories about the events

Sources present at the hearing explained to Europe Press that a security company allegedly filed a complaint because someone had contracted a security service – where the Mosso worked on leave – but had not paid for the services, so after 30 days they went to ask for the money at the person’s home.

According to the victim’s version, the employees of the security company, seeing that she was not paying, detained her and her companion at their home. When they refused to make the payment, on May 3, a theft was allegedly committed in the same house.

The victim filed a complaint about these latest events, and the Mossos d’Esquadra launched an investigation that ended up linking a series of people to the case: four Mossos d’Esquadra agents and two employees of the company – all of which were arrested last Friday. 15.

A Catalan police spokesperson explained that the Home Affairs Division (DAI) opened disciplinary proceedings against the four Mosso on Friday 15, and withdrew the three active officers from the force, as reported larazon.es.
