MADRID (AP) РNew signing Erik Lamela scored in stoppage time for his third goal in two games as Sevilla beat Getafe 1-0 on Monday to join defending champions Atl̩tico Madrid as the only side with a start perfect in the Spanish league.

Lamela got the winner from inside the box, recovering the rebound from Rafa Mir’s shot that hit the post after a breakaway three minutes into added time.

“We weren’t comfortable, but in the last game we fought until the end because we knew we could score and take the win,” said Lamela. “Fortunately, we started with two wins and we will continue to work hard to improve. We have a lot to improve.

Lamela, the Argentine signed from Tottenham in a deal that saw Sevilla youngster Bryan Gil move to England, scored twice in his official debut for the Spanish club last weekend, a 3-0 home win against the promoted Rayo Vallecano.

Atlético started with a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo and beat Elche 1-0 at home on Sunday.

Sevilla have won their last five league games against Getafe without conceding a goal.

Mir made his Sevilla debut, while veteran midfielder Ivan Rakitic played his 200th game with the club from southern Spain.

Sevilla had been closer than Getafe to opening the scoring throughout the game. One of his best chances came with a firm header from defender Diego Carlos who caused a good save from Getafe goalkeeper David Soria in the 72nd. About 10 minutes later, Youssef En-Nesyri was denied a goal for offside.

Getafe fought against relegation last season and have won just two of their last 15 league games. It started with a 1-0 loss to Valencia.

Sevilla were in search of the Spanish league title until the final stages of last season. He finished in fourth place, behind Atlético, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Madrid were held 3-3 at Levante on Sunday, while Barcelona drew 1-1 at Athletic Bilbao on Saturday. Madrid and Barcelona opened with a victory.

OSASUNA SHOOT AGAIN

Osasuna drew 0-0 at home with Celta, which left both sides winless after two rounds.

The hosts, after a goalless draw against promoted Espanyol, missed a penalty early in the second half when Rubén García’s shot was stopped by Celta goalkeeper Matías Dituro.
