According to the report, Liverpool sent scouts to watch talented Camara in action for the Greek club against Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
The Reds have been linked with a decision by the 20-year-old in the past, with Juventus, AC Milan and Brentford also being credited with interest.
Camara, who started his career with French club Lille and is a Guinean international team-mate of Naby Keita, is said to be valued at around £ 20million.
Although he is primarily classified as a midfielder, Camara’s versatility also means he is capable of playing in the No 10 role or as part of one of the top three.
