Guardiola praises Rice

Manchester City fans may be hoping the club attack West Ham after Pep Guardiola failed to hold back his praise for Declan Rice, calling the midfielder an “exceptional player”.

The City boss chose the Irons vice-captain after City’s 2-1 win over Premier League rivals amid heavy snowfall at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking to NBC Sports after the game, Guardiola said: “Declan Rice is an exceptional player.”

Erling Haaland “open” to relocate

Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland is expected to be one of football’s hottest properties when a £ 64million release clause comes into effect in his contract next summer.

The forward has been linked with clubs across Europe, although reports from his native Norway suggest he could sign for City.

Andreas Korssund [via Sports Illustrated] reported that Etihad’s club are “most likely” to sign the Norway international and the player is “open” to the transfer.

City are expected to be on the hunt for a renowned center-forward who failed in their efforts to bring England captain Harry Kane to the club last summer.

Barça offer an exchange with Torres

Barcelona have told Manchester City they can choose seven of their players in order to secure a swap deal for Ferran Torres, it has been reported.

Mundo Deportivo report that the club are ready to send Sergino Dest, Sergi Roberto, Clement Lenglet, Oscar Mingueza, Philippe Coutinho, Neto or Samuel Umtiti in the opposite direction.

Barca are said to be keen on securing the city even though, with the club in a difficult financial situation, they are doing everything possible to close the deal with as little money as possible by exchanging hands.
