Pavement announces first tour dates in ten years for fall 2022

After more than a decade apart, indie rock band Pavement is reuniting for shows around the world. Their latest studio album, Twilight of Terror, was released in 1999, but the band reunited for a reunion tour in 2010 to celebrate their compilation album Quarantine the past: the best of the pavement. And five years later they shared The Secret History, Vol. 1, a 30-track compilation that Parker Warfield described as “a product of songwriting genius that couldn’t be framed in their LPs.

The group previously have confirmed they will be touring Europe and the UK, and they have now announced tour dates for North America as well. The tour will start on June 2, 2022 in Barcelona and end on November 11 in Dublin. Three of the shows are already sold out: the October 22 show in London and the November 10 and 11 shows in Dublin.

The group will begin the North American leg of their tour on September 7 in San Diego and visit Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Austin and other cities before heading to the UK at the mid-October.

While the band may no longer release new music, there may be unreleased tracks featured during shows: “This music remains untouchable, ”reads the press release. “And finally, we’ll surely be celebrating it with an extravagant package of some sort – possibly one of the band’s canonical, yet to be re-released LPs.”
