Miralem Pjanic was the only absentee from Tuesday’s training session ahead of Barcelona’s Champions League opener on Wednesday.
The Bosnian international had permission from the club to miss the session as he is about to complete his transfer to Sharjah FC in the United Arab Emirates.

The official fee for the operation hasn’t been revealed yet but there are talks that Barcelona could possibly receive €3m for the experienced midfielder’s transfer.. Sharjah offers him a three-year contract, divided into two seasons plus an additional one.
If the deal goes through, Barcelona reportedly release enough money to formalize Gavi renewal and change his current salary to bring him into the first-team salary range.
The club see Frenkie de Jong as the perfect candidate to replace Sergio Busquets in the defensive pivot, especially after Nico’s loan to Valencia and Pjanic’s impending departure.
Tuesday’s morning session included Eric García as well as the club’s two new signings, Héctor Bellerin and Marcos Alonso.
On Wednesday, against Viktoria Plzen, Xavi should make some changes. Christensen, De Jong and Ferran Torres are likely to be included in the starting XI to rest Eric, Gavi and Dembélé, among others.
