Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski has sought a move away from the club as he aspires to continue his career and start afresh at Barcelona. With Bayern determined to hold on to their Golden Boot winner, Lewandowski has made it clear he feels his time in the Bundesliga is up. Via Fabrice RomanoLewandowski dropped heartbreaking and moving comments about his feelings on the ongoing transfer saga.

“I just want to leave Bayern Munich. Loyalty and respect are more important than hard work. The best way is to find a solution together,” Lewandowski said. by Onet Sports. “Something died in me, I want to leave Bayern for more emotions in my life.”

It’s certainly a telling quote from Lewandowski, who just seems miserable about the potential to return to Bayern Munich for another season. It’s clear the Poland international has Barcelona at heart, and his latest comments, depressing as they are, will further force Bayern’s hand, despite their hopes of keeping the 33-year-old.

Barca will have to sell some players in order to raise funds for a transfer of Lewandowski, although they won’t face much difficulty in their pursuit of the star striker, who has declared his desire to join the club, and no others.

Last season across all competitions, Lewandowski made 46 appearances for Bayern Munich, scoring a staggering 50 goals. He registered 35 goals and 3 assists in 34 Bundesliga appearances, alongside 13 goals in 10 Champions League appearances. He’s been a key cog in Bayern’s dominance in Germany over the past decade, but that is set to end after Lewandowski’s latest comments amid the Barca transfer saga. It seems only a matter of time before he gets his wish and joins the Catalan giants this summer.
